The Instructional Unit has identified the following lifelong/workplace skills that are the foundation for your course of study at CCA: Communication, Critical Inquiry, Intra/Interpersonal Responsibility, Quantitative Reasoning, Technology, and Aesthetic Perception. Of these skills, this course will focus on.

• The main navigation bar is always available, regardless of the course you are currently working in.
• The course navigation bar allows you to navigate to different areas of the course your currently working in. The Assessments, Communication, and Resources heading have expandable dropdown menus you can access by clicking on the arrow next to the heading name.
• News appears on each Course Home Page for your students is customizable by you. Click on the dropdown arrow next to News to create a new News item.
• The Helpful Resources widget is located within the Course Homepage and on the My Homepage. Direct your students to call the 24x7 help desk if they are experiencing any issues with D2L.
• The Updates widget shows notifications of unread items, such as discussions and dropbox assignments from the course you are currently working in.
• You can add website links to the User Links widget for your students to access.
• The Calendar highlights due dates and other important tasks related to assignments and events for your course.
• My Settings is also accessible via your Course Home (and My Home). Here you can edit your profile, account settings and access your locker.
